Dementia Dialer 2 works exactly like Dementia Dialer. When the phone is switched on, the patient sees only large, clear photographs of the people they love. One tap makes the call. Nothing else to learn.
On supported Android devices, Android's built-in Live Caption feature automatically displays spoken words as text on screen during calls — helping hard-of-hearing users follow conversations without any additional setup required.

Each contact shown as a large, clear face photograph. As many contacts as needed — the layout adjusts automatically.

The back button and home button are disabled. The patient can never accidentally exit to the normal Android screen.
Simple carer setup

No data collected

Live Caption is a feature built into modern Android phones that automatically transcribes spoken words and displays them as text on screen — in real time, during phone calls.
It requires no internet connection, no extra apps, and no ongoing setup. Enable it once and it works automatically during every call — including calls made through Dementia Dialer 2.
How to enable Live Caption on your Android phone:
- Go to Settings on the Android phone
- Tap Sound or Accessibility
- Find Live Caption and turn it on
- During calls, captions appear automatically on screen

All contact information — names, phone numbers and photographs — is stored only on the device. Nothing is uploaded to any server. We have no access to your data whatsoever.
My relative has an older phone — which app should I use?
