Privacy Policy
Dementia Dialer V2 ("the App") is provided by Excalibur Web Support Limited ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what information the App handles, how, and why. It is written for a UK audience and intended to comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Effective date: 24 July 2026Dementia Dialer 2 does not record, process, or caption call audio itself, and does not upload your contacts to us or anyone else. Everything stays on your device.

Who We Are
Excalibur Web Support Limited is the developer and publisher of Dementia Dialer V2, available on Google Play. For any question about this policy or your data, contact howard@excaliburwebs.co.uk.
Section 2
What the App Does
Dementia Dialer V2 is a simplified phone dialer designed for people living with dementia. To make calls, the App is set up as your device's default Phone app. The App does not record, process, or caption call audio itself. On supported Android phones, you can separately turn on Android's own built-in Live Caption accessibility feature to caption calls — that is a system feature provided by Google, works independently of this App, and is not covered by this policy.

Information the App Collects
Contacts you add in the App
To provide the dialling function, the App stores the contacts you or a carer set up: name, relationship label (e.g. "Daughter"), phone number, and a photo if you choose to add one (the App can use your device's camera to take this photo directly).
Stored locally on your device only. Not uploaded to us — we have no access to it.
If you uninstall the App or clear its data, this information is deleted from the device.
Permissions the App requests
Based on the App's Android configuration, it requests:

The App also declares, but does not require, the device features android.hardware.telephony and android.hardware.camera, so it can still install on devices without these.
To provide its calling features, Android and Google Play require the App to be set as your device's default Phone app. You'll be prompted to do this during setup.
Payment information
Dementia Dialer V2 is a paid app purchased through Google Play. All payment processing is handled entirely by Google under Google Play's own terms and privacy policy — Excalibur Web Support Limited never receives or stores your card details or payment information.
Analytics and crash reporting
The App does not use any analytics or crash-reporting services. We do not track how you use the App, and no usage or diagnostic data is collected or transmitted to us or any third party.

What We Don't Do
- We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
- We do not use your information for advertising, and the App does not display third-party ads.
- We do not store, back up, transmit, or have remote access to your contacts or any call content.
- We do not transfer any personal data outside the UK/EEA, because the App does not transmit your data to us in the first place.

Your Rights
Because contact information lives only on your device, the simplest way to access, correct, or delete it is directly within the App's settings, or by uninstalling the App. If you believe we hold any personal data about you in another context (for example, if you've emailed us for support), you have the right under UK GDPR to ask us to access, correct, or delete that data — contact howard@excaliburwebs.co.uk to do so. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you're unhappy with how we've handled your data.

Children
Dementia Dialer V2 is not directed at or marketed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Section 7
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, note the change in the App's Google Play listing.
